Christopher Skura is a visual artist living in New York City and his work has been exhibited throughout the United States. He holds a degree in painting and drawing and a professional certificate in sculpture from the Ringling College of Art and Design and a degree in liberal arts from New York University.
Skura studied ceramic sculpture with Peter Gourfain at Greenwich House Pottery, drawing with Richard Barnet, Nicki Orbach and Leonid Gervits at The Art Students League of New York, stained-glass design and construction at The Peters Valley School of Craft, painting and ceramics at The Florida Gulf Coast Art Center/ Belleair and philosophy with Paul Edwards at The New School University. In 1989 he was awarded The Robert Rauschenberg Change Grant for work completed that year.
